That's the equivalent of 20,000 Buckingham Palaces stacked on top of each other!
Think about it: We're not just burying our clothes, but also burying our chances for a healthier planet.
Additionally, many clothes made from synthetic materials, such as polyester, are not biodegradable, so they remain in landfills for a long time without breaking down.
Landfills are the ultimate party-poopers, producing methane emissions, contaminating groundwater, and taking up valuable resources that could be reused.
